It can be noticed that there are a lot of addiction treatment centers today, as well as efforts from the government and different organizations to stop the addiction. As much as it is a good thing, the reason for such is the rapid increase in the number of drug users. This has been a serious problem as so many crimes are triggered by addiction.

As much as it is a good thing, the reason for such is the rapid increase in the number of drug users. This has been a serious problem as so many crimes are triggered by addiction.
There are also a lot of events today that aim to provide information and awareness to the people with hopes that they will never try to use drugs and instead, do the right thing and live their life the right one. In connection with this, the North East Safety Committee and the community’s Addiction Committee will host an event to address drug addiction in the community on Tuesday.

The program will be held at 7 p.m. at Praise Cathedral Church of God, 5335 Route 89. Several guest speakers will talk about their battle with addiction and representatives of several agencies will speak on what services they provide to help battle drug addiction.
Organizers said the event is intended to help educate the public on how to recognize someone with a drug addiction and to discuss what steps can be taken to help a person battling addiction.
